WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU
Volunteers play a pivotal role in the continuation of Perhentian Turtle Project (PTP).
You will become part of the PTP team and help our dedicated staff to collect data on foraging and nesting turtles via kayaks and beach night patrols whilst experiencing the cultural (e.g. Malay dinners) and marine (e.g. eco-snorkel tours) side of things.
We are delighted to welcome volunteers backgrounds and cultures and can't wait to have you on the team.

INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERS

2 weeks - MYR 3,300 (approximately GBP575)

WHEN TO
VOLUNTEER?
Our volunteer season happens between
APRIL AND SEPTEMBER annually
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?
Yes. As most of our activities involve some risk as they are outdoors, water-related or conducted at night. We are willing to reduce the age limit to 16 years old with parental consent

* as sea turtles are wild animals, these are only predictions based on previous years' patterns and are by no means guarantee of sea turtle presence.
HOW LONG CAN I STAY FOR?
While we do not have a maximum duration, we do require our volunteers to stay at least 2 weeks so that you will have time to get used to the environment in the first week and focus on enjoying your time in the week(s) after.
Malaysian volunteers are able to stay for a minimum of one week to fit in with the length and timing of Malaysian holidays.
